Vietnamese President Pays Visit to Cambodian Senate President

PHNOM PENH: The Vietnamese President, Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, paid a courtesy visit to the President of the Senate of Cambodia, Say Chhum, on Tuesday afternoon. This visit is a part of the Vietnamese president’s two-day official state visit to Cambodia.

After concluding his visit with the King and Queen Mother, and laying a wreath at the Independence Monument to pay respects to the soul of former King Norodom Sihanouk, the Vietnamese President continued his official state visit by meeting the President of the Senate of Cambodia, Say Chhum.

The two officials sat down and discussed bilateral relations and expressed mutual happiness over the good relations between Cambodia and Vietnam.

The President of Vietnam began a two-day official state visit in Cambodia, accompanied by a high-level delegation, on Tuesday. He met with King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, then continued on to meet Prime Minister Hun Sen and sign seven important bilateral documents between Cambodia and Vietnam.
